As the first month of the new year is coming to a close how do you feel about? Did you accomplish the goals you set for the month? How do you feel about the start of the year? Overall, how are you feeling? Sometimes we get caught up in the day to day grind that we don't take proper inventory on how we are spending our time and how we are feeling.
I have been reflecting on the last 30 days and I have some mixed emotions about it, but overall I am okay with how January turned out. As my shirt says, I was made for this. I was made for the good times, the bad times, and all the times in between. I had to remind myself that while sitting here typing this post. Everyday wont be the day that you may have planed or pictured, but nevertheless you have the power to control how you finish each day. You and I are made for this. We are made for the trials and tribulations that are thrown at us.
Whether we were made for this or not - we still have to work hard at maintaining that type of attitude and keeping ourselves accountable. I think this month I was on autopilot - I was just letting the days go by as if I was in the passenger seat and not the driver seat. I wasn't hold myself accountable in terms of proactively chasing my goals, making sure I was on track, and going above and beyond as I planned.
I am using my last day of the month as a reboot. I am making sure my goals are forefront, I'm holding myself accountable, and I am in the driver seat being an active participant in my life. Of course I needed to pull out some old tools to help in this reboot. I am back using a daily habit tracker until it becomes routine again. Here is the daily tracker I am currently using. I am also using a goal tracker when it comes to some of my big goals (such as saving for a home, and paying off one my debts completely). Here is goal tracker I am currently using.
Are you ready for a new month? Do your actions and your goals align?
I had to take a step back to come to a hard realization that I was just letting these days slip by and reverting back to old habits. It was a much needed realization that caused a much needed reboot. Don't be afraid to seek help or guidance from tools listed above or from those around you. You are the controller of your daily schedule. Remember, YOU are made of this.
