I have had a lot of people reach out to me regarding things I have used or recommend during pregnancy, so I figured it was best to write it out in a blog post so that I can just refer people to a home place for all recommendations. I would also like to state that every pregnancy and everyone is different, so these are just my personal recommendations or things I have found useful.
There are a lot of products for pregnant women so pick the products you feel most comfortable with. I did research on everything when I was pregnant before picking a single product. Some things that I tried off recommendations didn't work for me - so again these are just my opinion so choose any product that YOU like. Everything doesn't work for everyone and everyone has different experiences .. pregnancy is no different.
Here are some of my pregnancy must haves:
Sea band / Preggie Pops/ Ginger Tea
Lots of comfortable clothes!
Here are some other recommendations, tips, and random side notes about pregnancy:
You may have to change your skincare routine. This new human has hijacked your body and caused your hormones to go a little haywire, so be prepared to make adjustment with skincare, foods, etc.
Making your baby registry can be fun, but also can be stressful since there are so many things baby needs and so many brands and products. When creating your registry you will be eligible for some perks, so make sure you take advantage of them.
Target: You get a free gift bag that you can pick up in stores & you get 15% (to use twice - in store and online) when you approach due date.
Amazon: You get a free baby box when you complete the registry, you get 15% competition discount, and you get 20% diaper discount for a year after your due date.
Babylist: You get a free welcome baby box once registry is completed and 15% off discount when you get closer to your due date.
Bonus #1:The nurses will ask you about the baby's pediatrician and what insurance she/he is using. It is best that you have the answers to those questions before having the baby because they will ask you a zillion times! I learned that by not having those answers readily available at the time. Your baby will have to go to the pediatrician a couple days after leaving the hospital so you can not wait until the last minute on this one.
Bonus #2: Books to read during or after birth are: Strong As A Mother, You Are A F*cking Awesome Mom, The Mama Natural Week-by-Week Guide To Pregnancy & Childbirth, and Ina May's Guide To Breastfeeding.
